DIY Buckets of Blooms
We are excited to offer DIY Buckets of Blooms during our peak growing season, from June through early October. If you are interested in sourcing locally grown flowers for your upcoming event, our DIY Buckets are an excellent option for you!
Please note: We need at least 2 weeks notice before your event to accommodate DIY Bucket orders. Thank you for understanding!
DIY Buckets of Blooms are a great, economical option for you if you:
Enjoy fresh, locally grown, in-season flowers and want to incorporate them into your special event
Are not particular about specific flower variety or color
Are confident in your ability to arrange the flowers for your event, and have the time to do so
Have read our FAQs at the bottom of this page and feel comfortable with the DIY bucket process
Are Buckets of Blooms right for my event?
Friendly reminder: We are a small flower farm – not a traditional florist. We do not order imported flowers. We grow all of our blooms, or occasionally source stems from other local flower farms. We offer in season, locally grown flowers only. If you are looking for a traditional, full-service florist, we are happy to make some recommendations – just shoot us an email!
Buckets of Blooms FAQs
-
Our buckets contain 50-60 stems — the exact number is determined by the value of the flowers included. We fill each bucket with about 70-75% focal and filler flowers, and 25-30% greenery/foliage.
-
Our Buckets of Blooms are $89 each.
-
Use our stem guide to determine the number of buckets you will need to accommodate your event.
-
Payment is due within 48 hours of receiving your invoice to reserve your buckets.
-
We cannot accept requests for specific flower varieties. We fill our buckets with flowers and foliage that are in season and blooming at the time of your event.
We cannot guarantee specific colors for your buckets of blooms. If you are set on a particular color palette (ex. pink and yellow), our Buckets of Blooms are likely not a good option for your event. We will do our best to accommodate general requests (ex. soft pastels, bright/cheerful, neutral, etc.), but ultimately, it is still up to Mother Nature!
-
Flowers are best kept in a cool, shady environment, in fresh water. Ensure that the water is not touching any of the foliage on the stems. A cool room in your home, out of direct sunlight, is usually fine for a day or two!
-
We offer pickup on Thursdays or Fridays from our roadside stand in Kirkville, NY. Exact pick-up times will be scheduled about 2 weeks before your event.
-
If you are only getting 1-2 buckets, they can usually ride on the floor of your back seat, no problem. If you are getting 3+ buckets, make sure you are driving a vehicle that can accommodate the space they take up (SUV, van, etc.). Flowers should NOT be transported in a truck bed or open trailer - they need to be secured and protected!
